During my days as a Bee Keeper for Yack Bro’s Honey Co. located 1–99 E 600 S, Roosevelt, UT 84066. I had the opportunity to learn that Benadryl and Claritin are not the only possible options to allergy relief. Personally i myself have never been a fan of the drowsiness that comes along with taking Benadryl, it takes the fight out of the outdoor working class. Lone behold i was surprised to find out that when the Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) make that delicious liquid gold, the Honey Bee also makes “Bee Bread” the main source of protein and food for the hive. Bee Bread consist of the pollen that is collected from their journey in the field of flowers, there is also small traces of nectar in the pollen. The Honey Bee then upon arrival back to the hive packs the pollen that was collected during their day in the field, into the Honey Comb cells, and top that Bread off with Honey. During that travel all over the hive that regions local pollen is spread all over the Honey Cells. Local Honey when eaten produces a Tolerance for the Local Pollen that often makes people allergenic in the first place. With that being said support your local bee keepers, and buy their honey, while saving yourself the insanity of aggravated sneezing.
